Nursery Reveal: The Malets
I have been in this game so long that I have seen life go full circle. When Mother & Daughter team Andi Weiss & Lauren Malet came in to design her nursery I started having deja vu. For some reason I felt "haven't I done this before?". And OHHH...I had, but it was like 10 years ago & it wasn't cribs, instead we were buying Citizen of Humanity jeans! They used to shop with me when Lauren was in High school at Daisy Too. I can't believe the teenager is now the MOMMY. Wow! It's not everyday you get to be with a family for so long.

Lauren wanted a beautiful sophisticated space that was sweet & timeless, yet not too girlie. We chose lovely grey tones & subtle pinks. She started out with the Emerson Collection from Nest Juvenile Furniture, Made in Canada and with Solid Oak. They chose a washed/drift-wood finish that really allows you to see the grain in the wood.

Custom Bedding
Creating Custom linens is one of the most important parts of the design. Bedding sets the tone for the space. It IS what brings life to the space--It sets your color palette. For Lauren, we fell in love with fabrics that had rich textures with a little glam from Bebe Chic bedding. The charcoal grey suzani print looks so great on the window seat & railguard. The pebble print glimmer fabric shines on the bedskirt, pillow & blanket. This has been my favorite combination this year.
