TIME FOR DESIGN, even in these days

Where did the time go? When quarantine started back in March, I thought I was going to have all this TIME. Oh yes, I had delusions of super-mom entrepreneurship with time for meditation. Well that’s all over now, 6 weeks into fall remote learning with a 4th, 2nd & a 1st grader. Not getting caught on the kids’ class camera in my pj’s is an accomplishment!! I know so many of you can feel me.

Oh the joys of remote learning with The Evans-Jones crew.

Yet in these unusual times my clients have presented me with real world design challenges now that they are in their homes ALL DAY. Those pesky problem areas in their houses that have been driving them crazy for far too long, now they really must be resolved. They are the same pile of toys that you’ve been tripping over, that have somehow multiplied. It’s your husbands clutter that has now taken over the dining room table you never liked in the 1st place.  Or it’s that master bedroom with the pre-nuptial furniture that just doesn’t feel so MASTER anymore.

Oh Dana knows & she understands. And it’s totally okay that it’s driving you crazy. You’re allowed. If we have learned anything it’s that our home & environment matters. It’s that delicate line of sanity we all feel these days that brings me back to my keyboard. Inspiring me to recommit to sharing great family design solutions with you through my favorite design projects. I hope many of these spaces will inspire you to take back some semblance of your home again:)

I’ll see you in two weeks as we talk about why you deserve a beautiful boudoir. Till then, here are some before & after sneak peeks of rooms I will be revealing this fall..……..

Out with the old, In with the new!!

Andrea & Garrett were so happy to be given their parents dining room table for their starter home. But 2 children & 4 grandchildren later, it was time for something NEW. What a transformation and we aren’t even done yet. So stay tuned.

We want our DINING ROOM back!!

After 3 kids back to back, Roben & Gregg were ready to have their "Adult” home back. But with a newborn in their arms it’s not easy to carve out a space for pretty. Oh and we made it soooo elegant:)

There is so much you can do in your home too. And I want to show you how. Remember, your home is important. #yourhomematters #designmatters #designunwinds

So now you know what I have been up to. What have you done or want to do with your home durning these times?
